Would you like insight in debit and credit in lists?

Per default, both Dynamics NAV 2018 and Business Central only show the balance total for lines on which an amount is featured.

However, it can be important to not only show the balance total, but also the debit and credit amounts that have been posted, for example in the chart of accounts and the different journals. This is a setting that can be changed in the software:

  • Go to Departments > Administration > Application setup > Financial Management > Finance and select General Ledger Setup (only for NAV 2018)

OR

  • Press CTRL + F3 or go to the search bar on the top right of the screen and search for General Ledger Setup. (both NAV 2018 and BC)

The following screen appears:

The last option Show Amounts indicates Amount only:

This option can be changed to Debet/Credit only or to All amounts.

The list view will be visualised accordingly (if the columns are visible in the personal view).
